Bullshit

On Language Log we spend quite a bit of our time analyzing one or another kind of bullshit about language. It is good to know that emeritus Princeton philosopher Harry Frankfurt has now provided us with a book-length analysis of the meaning of this important technical term. Frankfurt's On Bullshit argues that falseness of the bovine excremental variety is actually a greater danger to intellectual discourse than lies.
